Have I not seen true beauty until this day? Chapter 1; Harry’s Pov
Wow. Today is the day. The day that I will watch my beautiful fiance walk down the aisle, linked to her dad’s arm. He will then give her over to me. So I can watch over her, and take care of her. The day that her name changes to Emily Styles. Call me cliche, but I’m so nervous.
I stay for what seems like days in this room, getting ready for the wedding. My stylist is fixing my bow tie, while my hair stylist is trying to tame my bushy locks. Good luck with that. Finally, I put my shoes on. Emily insisted that I wear my Converse. I’m not going to argue with that, at least I’m another step closer to comfort.
I quickly leave the room with Liam, Niall, Louis, and Zayn. They’re all looking sharp, getting ready to support me on my big day. We get to the main part of the church, where the wedding is taking place. My stomach churns, and I wonder how I’ll be able to contain myself once Emily walks down the aisle in a long, white gown.
People start standing up, and the organ starts to play. I wanted to have more of a traditional wedding, so the organ adds a nice touch. All of a sudden, the huge, wooden doors swing open, and out comes my precious bride.
Eyes grow wide as she’s grinning from ear to ear. She’s so stunning. I sit there and stare at her, thinking, “What did I ever do to deserve her?”
Walking down the aisle, I look down at her feet. Toms. Typical Emily. She and Louis would sit for hours on in and talk about Toms. What color they like, what kind of material was best for which season, and what to match them with. Yeah, I’ll stick to converse.
But anyway, on with the wedding. Exchanging vows was one of the most outstanding moments of my life. She looked into my eyes, with her gorgeous, glowing eyes, and said her vows to me. We both shed tears, and then came my vows.
”Emily. Emily Christina. You are my everything. I have walked so many paths in my life, and I’m not even halfway through. The paths that we’ll be taking in the future, will never compare to the ones I’ve taken without you. But the ones that we will take together, some will be hard. But I’m willing to take any path as long as you’re with me all along. “
She practically bawled her eyes out at that. And I have no clue how I came up with something that clever. But my goal was to express my feelings, and I think I accomplished that.
After the wedding, all the boys wanted to do was mingle. They wanted to meet Emily’s friends, and just meet new people. I really hope that they don’t try to hit on Emily’s friends or anything. Who knows? Maybe Niall will finally find his princess. But I doubt it.
About twenty minutes later, the reception was all set up. It was gorgeous. White and light pink decorations, with pearl themed table centerpieces.
I walk over to see Emily, with two of her best friends, Megan and Caroline. Megan is chatting with Liam, while Caroline is chatting with Niall. Figures, huh? I knew something like this would happen, so I pulled Emily aside.
”Sweetie, this is our big day. Are you sure the boys aren’t ruining anything?” I asked Emily with concern. “Harry, everything’s fine. They’re just talking. Just meeting new people. I love the boys, and you know that. They aren’t bothering me a bit.” We both smiled big, and I said, “Well, in that case, would you like to dance now?” “Why, yes, I think I would love to.”
Slow dancing with Emily, my new wife, was the best moment of the whole evening.
